I’m stuck!

I can login to my profile but not into my WordPress site. When I give you the URL I’m told it is linked to another WordPress.com account What?? I can’t find any of the account recovery information — and any billing information is stuck in my account, which I can’t access.
Is there any way of figuring out how to reunite me with my site?

I have never used anything but WordPress. I am not hosted elsewhere unless I’ve been hijacked!

Are you able to clarify this for me? This is the first time this has happened, and I have no idea why.
Was my WordPress account hijacked by someone? I reset my password in both email accounts I have used on the site over the years. Using the new password still only takes me to my personal profile, but no access to the actual website.
My WordPress account was created so many years ago that I have no access to the required identifying information — but I have searched. No luck.
Is my only option to abandon these many years of writing and create a new site? And what about the money that I paid for a premium account?
Pulling out my hair here …………….

Another question: I’ve been using my laptop, which I do all the time to write new posts.
Just checked my phone app and I’m signed in there and can add a new post, edit etc.
I’m not a technical zero by any means, but I’m not sure what’s up with this.

I see no evidence that your account has been compromised, no. But you have two accounts.
You are posting here as the username account,
phyllisdiller. You can see the email address associated with this account at https://wordpress.com/me/account. You’ve had this account for 12 years, but this account has never owned any sites on WordPress.com.Your site, phylliswriteswords.com, was created using a different username account, associated with a different email address. It looks like you recently reset the password for that other account as well, but you’re not currently logged into it.
Go to https://wordpress.com/me/ and click the Sign Out button. Then log back in using the other username/email address instead.

You own paid upgrades under the other account, so you can retrieve a transaction ID for any past payment directly from your credit card statement.

That means you’re signed into the other username account on your phone. In the app, tap on My Sites, tap your profile picture at the top, and tap on Account Settings. There you’ll see the username and email address for the other account.
Log into that same username on your laptop, and you’ll see your site again.
