I'm stuck on the step of "Switching MX records at domain host" in Google Apps
-
I started a blog on WordPress, then purchased a domain from WordPress last week. Now I’m working on setting up my domain email, (email visible only to moderators and staff).
I made my way through the Google Apps setup wizard with little trouble, but now I’m at the page that says “Switch MX records at domain host”. I don’t know where my MX records are located, and I’m not sure where to enter the new MX records given by Google.
I signed into my Automattic account and clicked on “Manage DNS records”, but it said that was only used when you set your nameservers. I clicked on “set nameservers” and selected “I have a hosting account with these domains”. Now I’m just waiting, and totally unsure of what my next step should be. I’m not even sure if I did the right thing.
I’ve tried reading other threads on a similar issue, but I am new to this aspect of blogging and I’m not sure if anyone else has actually covered the same issue as mine.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

You’ll need to follow this guide to finish setting it up: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/google-apps-email/
If you are, at which step are you running into trouble?

Hi macmanx!
I started there – signed up at Google Apps as directed in step #2. Then I started following the steps there; verifying my domain, selecting my domain host, and now I’m stuck at “Switch MX records at domain host”…the steps start with:
Switch MX records at your domain host
1.Sign in to your hosting account, and go to the MX record maintenance page. Who is my domain host?
MX records may be located in DNS Management, Mail Server Configuration, or Name Server Management. You may have to enable advanced settings to edit your MX records.
2.Delete all existing MX entries. By default, MX records may already be present.
3.Enter the following MX records.
You may not be able to enter the priority value exactly as it appears in the table below—if you can, make sure each record follows the indicated order. If you aren’t able to assign priorities, you should only enter aspmx.l.google.com.. Set any TTL values to 1 Hour (value=3600).…it gives me a chart with about 5 MX records, then step 4 is to save. This is what I’m unsure of…

At that point, you’ll need to return to the guide here and proceed with step 7: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/google-apps-email/
Everything will be taken care of for you when you verify your domain using the “Other” method.
