I'm totally confused – can't find plugins

Can you use some screenshots to show me where the plugins are? Is it that the plugins tab is only available on premium? Do I only have a free account? I thought I paid for premium.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

Third party plugins cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites. This is a security risk as we cannot vet all outside code and it puts our users, their sites, and our servers at risk.

Plugins are only usable on self-hosted WordPress.org sites.

I know the difference between .com and .org can get confusing, so here’s a breakdown of the benefits of each:

Sometimes, even without the installation of a plugin, we can help you gain the function you’d like here at WordPress.com. If you let me know your goals, perhaps I can help further.

    Please let me know! Cheers.

Thanks thatrobyn, So I’m not going crazy!

We have a relatively new blog and I’m setting up customization. What I wanted to do is turn off the URL option in the comments – because that is a huge source of spam.

Is there a way you can help me do that? I hope you’re working on that to make it a feature. : )

    Ha!

You are definitely not going crazy :)

We have a relatively new blog and I’m setting up customization. What I wanted to do is turn off the URL option in the comments – because that is a huge source of spam.

The only way to do this is to use a CSS code revision. This is available with the Premium upgrade, which your site doesn’t have currently. If you’re interested, you can check out the link below to learn more:

    WordPress.com Premium [Redirects to Plans]

However, if you don’t want the upgrade, there’s a work-around, which might suit your needs. While you cannot hide the URL field from the Comments area of your posts and pages, you can adjust your settings so that before a comment is published on your site, the comment author must have a previously approved comment. It’s a little more work for you, as you’ll have to give the thumbs up to all visitors’ initial comments. If you notice the commenter is spamming you, you can keep it from being published, and future comments will also not appear on your site.

You can adjust that setting here:

If you have any other questions or concerns, please do let me know and I can help further! Thanks much.
