I'm trying to change my primary blog…

    Good afternoon everyone,

I am trying to change which blog shows up when someone clicks on my username or icon after I’ve commented on their post.

I am trying to redirect discussion to a new blog I’ve started instead of my original WordPress blog which I created three years ago.

I have changed my ‘primary blog’ in my dashboard, but when other people click on my name or icon they are still getting redirected to the old blog which is not currently my main focus.

I really do not want my traffic going to this old blog. I want to leave it where it is online because some people use the old posts as resources, but my current reason for being on WordPress is completely different from the reason for this old blog.

Does anyone know how I can direct traffic to my new blog through my comments and profiles, instead of the old one?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

Not sure whether this works, but why don’t you try setting your new blog as your primary blog WordPress profile?

    Try visiting this link: https://wordpress.com/me/account
Here, under ‘Account Settings’, there’s an option for ‘Primary site’ – choose your new blog here. Also, there’s a field to add your web address. Give the link to your new blog here.

Do let me know if this solved your issue. :)

    Hey there,

When you are on this page, https://wordpress.com/me/account you’ll also see a space for “Web Address (Shown publicly when you comment on blogs.)”. That is where you’ll need to change the URL for the site you want linked when you comment.

This will only change the link for new comments you leave. It won’t change the link on comments you’ve already left.

    Hope that helps.
