I'm trying to import a blog from an expired domain hosted elsewehere.
-
Can’t get to the blog via old registrar, since domain is expired. Didn’t make an export file when it was live. Expired domain is mamavalpromise.com, and includes Quintessential Queries blog.
I started to register quintessentialqueries.com with you, but quickly found I needed import file from old registrar in order to do the transfer.
So I would like to register only ONE domain–either of the above–which will get me access to my existing blog (hosted via ipage).
If that’s not possible–if I need to start from scratch–pls refund my registration fee and I’ll start with a free blog.
Many thx,
V.

If you still have the account with your hosting provider, you can temporarily point the domain to them by changing your nameservers (get these from the hosting provider): http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameservers
Once you have the export file, you can direct the domain name back to us.

No, the domains are *expired;* that’s the point. I don’t want to have to renew them with the old host/provider.

That’s what I mean, if you can register the domain with us, you can then temporarily point the nameservers to your old hosting provider.
