I'm trying to unmap my personal domain (purchased from a third party) from WordPress to Squares

    I’m trying to move my site altogether from WordPress on over to Squarespace, and I would love to keep my custom domain that I purchased through a third party; however, when I try to map it to Squarespace, it won’t do anything because it’s still connected to WordPress. How do I completely remove my mapped domain from my WordPress account altogether so I can delete my WordPress account?

    *note: the issue is not at the third party level. I’ve removed the WordPress connection from my third party, I just need to remove it from WordPress now.
