Message says I need to logout and login as the correct user. How can I regain access to my dashboard?

Hi @earlmccogg2015, may I know if you’re the same owner of username @leerozez220218? I’m adding a modlook tag for Staff to check on the accounts and site address. Thank you for your patience.

Hi @leerozez220218, thank you for your reply. Seems like you’re having multiple user accounts, do you remember if you have another account which owns naturalbeautytips296.wordpress.com?
Anyway, since the modlook tag is added. A staff member will assist you on this. Thanks.

Sorry, Regina. It is the same person. I regularly work on Earl’s website, so that’s why his account showed up. I’ve logged out of his account and logged into mine, so your responses will now come to me (leerozez220218)

Hi leerozez220218,
naturalbeautytips296.wordpress.com is owned by naturalbeautytips296. Please try logging out of leerozez220218 and login with the username naturalbeautytips296 instead. Are you able to see the site listed in that account?
thewritersblock257.wordpress.com is also owned by naturalbeautytips296 so you should be able to manage both sites from that account once logged in.
Come back to me if you have any trouble.

Hi,
I’m having the same problem and would be grateful for any help. I’ve been away from my blog for a year now and would like to restart it. The login link, http://www.dessertcomesfirst.com/wp-admin doesn’t work anymore. Please help! -
To login to your WordPress.com website you want to go to WordPress.com And login there with your email address or username. Then you’ll be able to access your .com site.
The ‘WP-admin’ is used for logging into a self-hosted .org site.
Hope this helps :-)

@loribaltazar Ah, yup you’re correct. Unfortunately, this is the forum for WordPress.com. You can get support for the .org side of things here:
https://wordpress.org/support/
You’ll need to login (or create a free support account if you don’t have one).
However, I did also find this article that may be of some help for you:
https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-find-your-wordpress-login-url/
Short of this, you might need to get a hold of your host and see if they will help you to get in to your site. If you have success getting your login link, I recommend adding a small text link to your footer with your login link for future access.
If your host won’t assist you then you’re going to need to find independent support to resolve the issue as it will likely require using FTP to access some core files to make changes.
Hope this helps :-)

You can find instructions for resetting the password on the self-hosted version of WordPress you’re using here:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
For help with FTP or database access, should you need to do that, please contact your hosting provider as Tanya indicated above.
