  I’m using The Sight theme, can I insert a carousel photo gallery onto a page – in stead of the sidebar?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can add Galleries to any posts or pages with any theme:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

  But the Featured Slider that’s part of Sight can only appear in that area near the top of the page.
