  Hi there. Sure you can. Just set your site to private and only you and people you invite will be able to see it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  If you’re actually looking for a word processor you can download Libre-Office for free. It works as well as MS Word, from what I’ve heard.

  You’re welcome. I don’t know if Libre-Office works on Macs, but you should be able to find an answer or an alternative if you Google it.
