Image above post title

  Hi,
  I want to add an image above each post title, so that it displays on the front page. I want it to look like the post about Macbook on the website by the Hemingway creator : http://andersnoren.se/themes/hemingway/

  It has the image on the front page, and then when you click the actual post, you will see the image on the post. I’ve tried adding a featured image but it doesn’t appear on the front page, and my front page needs some images I feel.

  I don’t have the css upgrade, is it possible to do this without it? I’m very new to this and don’t have much technical know-how!

  I have the exact same question as above for the Hemingway theme. I do have the ability to edit CSS, but don’t know what I need to change.

  Other than making every blog post a sticky post (which seems unnecessarily troublesome), how can I make an image for a post visible on the home page of my website, and visible as a regular image within the post rather than in the header.

  As mentioned, I don’t have the CSS upgrade and don’t want to purchase it just to do this one thing. Is it possible to do this without it? I just wondered as it is on the creator’s live demo if it would be a standard customisation.
