Image and text in the right places

Hello,
I just want to put the image on the left and maybe a sentence or just a word on the right. Rest of the text goes after and under the image.
But it doesnt work to use the left alignment. All the other text just ends up next to the image as well. Looking really ugly.
Why isn’t there a how-to somewhere that explains how to do this image stuff?regards

Here is an article about adding space above / below text which should allow you to have a phrase, or word to the right of a picture. (not suitable for flexible-width themes as yours is, but useful for others who use a fixed-width theme)
Formatting text pt. 1: blank lines, alignment, wrap-around, two columns
The article also describes how to use a table to achieve the same effect on a flexible-width theme.

Switch the editor to HTML and add this before “rest of text”:
