image appearance issue in Windows XP

  My image widgets look different when viewed on a pc using Windows XP than it does on a pc using Windows 7. The images are stretched out of proportion. I have asked several of my blog readers how it appears on thier pc and most who responded are using Windows 7. The images in my posts are not stretched. Only the widget images. Thank you!

  Can you tell me what browser (and version of) you’re using on Windows XP vs Windows 7?

  Windows XP is Internet Explorer 8 (laptop)
  Windows 7 is Internet Explorer 9 (desktop)

  Since I asked the above question, I asked several of my readers if the images appeared stretched and everyone that said yes, were viewing it on a computer that had Windows XP.

  I did change the size of the images in the widgets and they now are normal looking when viewing on the laptop. So I guess issue is resolved, but I do not understand why it will look fine on my desktop and not the laptop. I like to know the “why” :)

  The version of Windows is not what controls how the page displays. It’s the browser that does that.

  Are these folks also using IE 8?
