Image as thumbnail for post

  Hi. Could you please let me know about the procedure to make an image a thumbnail for the post? I want the image to be shown in the preview but not in the post when the reader opens it. How do I do that?

  I think what you need to do is select the option ‘thumbnail’ when you are in the adding media section.
  Before you insert the image you have the option of choosing what size image you want. This shows to the right of the screen for me. Here you choose thumbnail and insert image in post.

  If you want to have a preview image the best thing to do is select a ‘featured image’, this option shows in the menu to the left of the screen when you are writing your post.
