image banner in blogroll?

  Hi there. Can anybody help me with this? I’m trying to exchange link with a website that only provided me its banner. How do I insert an image banner with link into my blogroll? Any help will be appreciated, thank you!

  What theme are you using please? What banner are you referring to? What size is it? Can you provide a url to a site were the banner is currently located? And is it an advertisement?

  the theme i’m using is rounded by release. you can see the banner i’m referring to here: http://www.indiedesignerlabels.com/thanks.html i don’t think i’ll consider it an ad?

  I believe that what it is is an affiliate link. In that case you can only have one displayed in your sidebar. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/18/put-an-image-in-your-sidebar/

  thanks for the link. however my ‘manage-upload’ looks different. i can’t seem to view any existing picture so that i can change anything. is that anything to do with the theme?

  Nah, that’s not an affliate link. An affliate link is when there’s something included within the URL to show where the clicker is coming from. It usually includes a number. A good sample is the ebay link at the bottom of my main blog if you want to take a look.

  Best bet would be to create a text widget for your sidebar and put it in there. Either that or add it to your blogroll but a text widget would give you more options for control and placement over it. That’s what TT suggests.
