Image borders
-
Hi,
I understand that the Advanced Options have been taken away, but I’d like to remove borders from images. I have the Custom Design upgrade and have tried inserting the HTML code for 0px borders, but they’re still showing.
“Changing borders must be done via CSS”, but how do I do this?
It’s really frustrating to have this WYSIWYG feature taken away, especially if you’re a user who doesn’t know HTML that well. Will this feature (Advanced Options) be restored for wordpress.com users?
Thanks

Hi there, While we did make some adjustments to the image editor a couple months ago, you do have Advanced Options, and can still remove your image borders.
I’ll walk you through the process, using your “The Salon” page:
- In your Dashboard, click Pages → All Pages, and open The Salon in your editor.
- Click once on the first image on the page.
- A small pencil icon and a small X icon will appear. Click the pencil icon to edit your image.
- Click on Advanced Options in the Image Details box that just opened.
- Scroll down a bit, until you see Image Borders. In the empty “width” box, enter “0”
- Click Update.
- After you’ve done this for all the images you’d care to edit, click Update so the changes you made to your page are saved.
That should do it! Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks much.
