Image Captions With New Blocks Editor
-
I recently switched to the new Blocks Editor, and when I add a caption underneath an image, it looks perfect in Editor mode (centered and small font), but when I Preview it, the caption is left-aligned and as big as the Paragraph body text – looks terrible.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @benjaminsboardgameblog, could you link us to an affected post? It seems there’s a bug about this, but you can work around it using a classic block.

Thanks for your reply.
Well, I was hesitant, didn’t want to actually post my draft until I could resolve this. How do I change to classic block? -

Ah yes, that is definitely the bug my colleague referred to.
You can work-around it by using a Classic Block instead for now: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/

I tried the Classic Block, but when adding my image, I did not see where you could add a caption, and adding centered text underneath the image did not look enough like a caption for me. BUT, I found a way that suited me at least. Either creating a single image “Gallery” or a “Slideshow” will work well for now.
