Image centring
-
Hey guys,
I’m finding it impossible to get images to center properly on the page. It says align=”aligncenter” in the code and I’ve tried things that people have suggested elsewhere but no luck!
Can anyone help? Here’s an example page on my blog:
http://worldofpeanutbutter.wordpress.com/sainsburys-basic/I don’t know what version of wordpress I’m using… or how to find out.. or how to upgrade or whatever??
Thanks!

When you open the page ‘salisburys basic’ to edit it, click on the Visual editor tab instead of the Text tab in the upper right corner of your editing area. Your photo should be visible. If you click on it once, an “X” (delete) and pen icon (edit) should appear in the upper left of the image. Select the pen icon to edit it.
Now you should be on a screen called “Image Details.” Under Display Settings, select ‘center,’ then make sure to hit the Update button at bottom right. Now you should be back on the Edit salisburys basic page. Click the blue Update button and you should be good to go.

Thank you so much I fixed it!!
The problem in fact was that the code won’t follow orders to ‘align center’ if it has a caption. So I took the captions out and put them in the text instead and BAM it worked.
Thanks for telling me about that image editing tool too, made all my images the perfect size. Smashing. -
