Image compare block
-
Hello,
When i was creating a post around the 19th of last month, i was happy with the outcome. Now when i revisit the post (scheduled), and watch a preview, the image compare block is very small, not how i left the draft.
I then played around with the full page width, and centering of the block but it hasn’t reverted to a normal page width.

html: <figure class=”wp-block-jetpack-image-compare”><div class=”juxtapose” data-mode=”horizontal”><img** src=”https://qualitychanoyu.files.wordpress.com/2020/10/991916870403-1.jpg” alt=”” width=”1024″ height=”1024″ /><**img src=”https://qualitychanoyu.files.wordpress.com/2020/12/991916870414-4.png” alt=”” width=”1024″ height=”813″ /></div></figure>
Thank you in advance,
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, only Staff will be able to see your links, so I’ve flagged this for their attention. As these are holidays it may take a little longer for them to reply.
It also looks like you have an upgrade plan that gives you direct access to support by email when you post at https://wordpress.com/help/contact

Sorry, It wasn’t clear to me that those two links were screenshots. /facepalm
Can you link directly to the page or post on your WordPress.com website where this is happening? That will also help us to troubleshoot the issue.
-
I would but the post in which this happens is scheduled and not yet posted.. I can make a copy, post it as only shown to admins. Would you still be able to see it?
-
Here it is. Hope you can see regardless of private status.

Hi no I cannot, but thanks for adding that link for Staff to look at when they look in on this thread. Let’s be patient now for them to reply.

After tingling a little more with the block, now i have it so that when I update the post, or preview the block in question (the image compare), doesn’t show up at all..
Yet when i right click, inspect element – it renders and then it shows, but only after i use inspect element (firefox).

Hi @qualitychanoyuarticles, as staff I can see the post. In Chrome and Firefox on Mac, I’m seeing the image compare working without an issue. Do you still need help with this?
-
Noting too the image is the full width of the post content. It sounds like you may have fixed it already, but if you’re still having any trouble whatsoever, I’d recommend just removing the block and re-adding it.

Hello, thank you for your replies.
I did manage to fix it although I’m not entirely sure what i did to fix it. I think what the problem was is that the line above the image compare, i had it at Heading 3, or H3. Which it said was (not sure why), not supposed to be like that. I’m confused as i thought both blocks were entirely separate from each other.
Removing and re-adding it did not work, which is why it took me a long time to get it working again. Maybe you can look inside the saved/reusable blocks i have named “comparing fujisan”
also it might be related to cookies as well, as this page: https://qualitychanoyu.com/2021/01/01/troubleshoot-nidai-rakunyu-yoshimura-fuji-san-utsushi-chawan/ for me doesn’t show the comparing block, but shift f5 (flushing cookies etc), and then it shows up..
Kind regards, -
What if you view the page in a different browser? For example if you normally use Firefox, what if you try to view the page in Safari or Google Chrome?
For me (as is the case for other staff here) the image comparison block is working without issue, so we are not able to see the problem you are having, but it sounds like it may be related to your browser since it seems to happen only on your end.
