Image count?

    Not really for my blog, but in the ‘blogs I follow’ feed at the end of the individual posts it tells me how many more words there are. That’s helpful, but it occurred to me, as I follow a few photography blogs, that it would be more helpful (for those ones) to tell me the number of photos there are in the post.
    I was wondering whether it would be possible to alter the code so that it gives a word count and an image count?
