Image details dialog blank after Vipre install

  After my company installed Vipre Antivirus Premium on my laptop, I am having trouble uploading images to my blog, Usually, I click “Select Images” then browse and click Open, and after a moment of uploading, a thumbnail of the image appears and some parameters I can set (caption, title, alignment, etc.) and a button for “Insert into post”.

  Now, the image uploads but no settings appear, just a little strange icon. I have to hand-code an “a href” link in the html. It’s a workaround, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to fix this. I see that you can white list certain local files and folders in Vipre…is there a way to whitelist the WordPress site or functionality?

  There should be a whitelist section in the virus program settings. Since I’m not familiar with that virus program, you will have to do some snooping around to figure out how to do it. It might require that the company IT/computer guy whitelist it for you if your permission level isn’t high enough. You can also try a search in the support section of the Vipre antivirus web site and there should be some information there that will tell you how to do it.
