Image Display

Hello,
I’m completely new to blogging.
my blog: LongRedRidei m having trouble with picture management. i can t find the answers on the forum so far:
-1) Galleries:
– how can the gallery thumbnails show on the Home page? i have to click on the post title to access the gallery on a separate page. is it possible to avoid that?
– when i click a picture of the gallery, the caroussel shows up but the pictures are to the left and some don’t show up. how can i manage that?-2) Single Images:
– on the Home page, the thumbnail appears with a big white rectangle in the bottom containing the date, the category and a “reply” link. can i get rid of that?
– when i click on the picture, it just shows on a new browser page (i tried both link to image and attachment. i would rather like the picture to show on the blog page, like a one-picture gallery caroussel. Is this possible?thanks for any help
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To see the whole gallery on the front page, and to get rid of the light grey rectangle with the post metadata, just don’t select the gallery or image post format: set the format to standard.
The image doesn’t have to be a thumbnail: you can select a different size option including full size. As for what happens when you click on it, see here:
Uploading and inserting images: the three (plus one) link options

thank you, 3 out of 4 sorted!
for a single image i will still create a gallery so that the slideshow feature is enabled, i just think it looks better than the image against a blank background :)
i still have a problem with the carousel format. when in the carousel, the image is not in the center, but stuck to the left of the screen. how can i manage that?

You’re welcome.
“when in the carousel, the image is not in the center, but stuck to the left of the screen.” That’s not what I saw when I checked your test posts. Sounds like a browser issue. What browser and version are you using? -
i m using FireFox 8.0.1 in a cybercafe, that might be the reason. a shame for people with not-so-good/old browser versions. . .
I ll try on another computer to see what it looks like
other than that all sorted :)
