Image distorted
-
Hi, I’ve just setup a blog using the Fontfolio theme. My problem is that image thumbnails on the home page show a distorted preview of the picture. How can I fix this?
Thanks for your help,
best regards

Hey there –
They don’t seem too distorted to me, but the best thing to do is to optimize your pictures before uploading them to your blog. It will most likely make a difference. You can find good references on how to do so here:

The above links aren’t relevant. The blog front on Fontfolio is supposed to crop the images to make them fit, not distort them. You simply discovered a bug in the theme: it works as expected when you set a featured image but not when you simply insert an image in the post. Edit your posts and set the same images as featured images. If you don’t see the Featured Image module on the edit screen, click Screen Options (top right) to activate it.
I’ll tag this thread so it gets moved to the Themes forum, where the WP theme team can see this and hopefully fix it. -
Howdy all,
Thanks for the report. I’ve alerted the theme team to this behavior and they’ll take a look.
Cheers!

Howdy,
The theme folks are still looking at the issue, but I believe I have a work around. When adding a picture initially, begin to write a new post and use the Add Media button from the post editor, then drag and drop the picture onto the window that pops up.
For your most recent post, visit the post editor for that post: https://weidephototestblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=10&action=edit and select the image you’re using as a Featured Image at the bottom-right (more info about Featured Images:
Featured Images)The bug is only impacting when the home page is pulling an image that both wasn’t uploaded specifically for that post nor set as the featured image.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else!
