image doesn't appear until you click on post

  I re-blogged an image and it doesn’t appear on the first page. I have to click on it to link to the dedicated post page. I wrote about this same problem a few days ago but resized all images to 72 dpi and that worked but I can’t imagine I’m supposed to adjust every image I use–especially a reblog. HELP?

  The url of the reblogged picture is http://ryanbolton.files.wordpress.com/2013/08/img_0652.jpg?w=547&h=364. In order for Suburbia to display an image on the front page, it must be a featured image from your image library.

  A linked image cannot be a featured image, so the reblogged picture won’t appear on the front page unless you upload it to your media library.

  thanks you guys–can I add to this question? Does a featured post mean one that is exposed when you first go to the blog? I seem to have 8(?) slots available. Does it then rotate as the latest posts come in –and the others are not available unless someone clicks on a link to a past post? I don’t have infinite scroll so I am not sure how it all formats.
