image duatone filter not working
-
Hi there
I am trying to apply the duotone filter to images. When I am in editing mode, it shows the right colour. However, it does not seem to actually apply it. When I leave the editing mode, or view the page on another browser, it shows the image in the template green tone. Yet, as soon as I go back into editing mode it shows the correct blue-ish duotone filter again. Not sure what is wrong?
All the best

Hi Sarah,
I’m afraid this is a bug :)
Specifically, there’s a bug in the open source WordPress software that prevents duotone filters from being disabled, if a theme enables it by default. Your theme, Skatepark, is one such theme, along with the color variations on the default Twenty Twenty-Two theme.
There’s a way to override this using custom CSS on our Pro plan, but otherwise the only options at this point is to use a theme that doesn’t use duotone filters by default, or to live with it until the bug is fixed. That fix needs to happen in the WordPress software itself over on WordPress.org, so I’m not able to tell you when that might be.
Let me know if you have any questions about this.

Hi kokkieh,
Thanks a lot for the quick reply and your help! I’m relieved to know I’m not going crazy. If I change the theme now, will it undo all the other editing as well?
All best

If you’ve made any changes to your templates in the site editor at Appearance ->Editor, those might be lost if you switch themes, as another theme won’t necessarily use the same templates.
But the actual content you’ve added under Posts and Pages in the dashboard won’t be affected.
