image duplicated on subsequent posts

  I posted an image for one post, but it appeared as the image on my next post as well. I went into the post, but the image didn’t appear in the actual post, just as the picture that introduced the post. How do I go back to my original format so the the image that appears for each post is simply the first image included in that post?
