Image embed not possible

  Image uploading / embedding in new posts not possible for about 11 hours now.
  Any image code is stripped, images are not displayed.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The just changed the way the editor works. I hate it and EVERYONE is going to hate it except people who blog from their phones. I can’t wait for the flood of complaints.

  You can work around it by creating posts at https://YourBlogName.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

  Following your suggestion, I added this:
  In case of re-editing a post, one should use
  https://YourBlogName.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=***&action=edit
  and replace **** by the actual post id.

  You’re quite right: this is complicating life for laptop and desktop bloggers.

  Thanks for that second link. What a pain!

  There was already a link on the grey Admin bar that took peoople to the lobotomized post editor. Why lobotomize the OTHER link to the real post editor?

  It makes no sense. I think WP.com is going to have to choke this change back and revert.
