image gallery

my image galleries stopped showing images. thumbnails are there alright, but when clicked for carusele mode, no images are showing.

Hi there clicknroll,
To enable the carousel, you need to insert your images in a gallery. To do so, go to “Add Media” as you normally would to add an image to your post, and instead of adding an individual image, change to “create gallery” view, and select all the images (or upload all the images) you’d like to include in your post. Click “create gallery” and then “insert into post.”
When you click on one of your images, you will see the carousel!

my galleries and carousels was in perfect working order until suddenly they stopped showing the photos :(
i haven’t tried posting new ones yet.
what should i do with the old ones that stopped working properly?
all of my images stored in jpg formats, 72 dpi res and small file sizes.

Hey, I’m having an issue with my image files. I used to be able to click on a picture I uploaded and it would open the photo in a different page. Now I can’t do that. I don’t know if it’s a setting somewhere or what but I didn’t have this problem until the new features were added.
You can look here and try to click on photo.
Also, where do we add youtube videos? I tried adding the link directly into my post and it didn’t work.

I can click on your image, and it does come up in a new page. If you’d like it to come up in an attachment page, however, that’s something you need to enable when you add the image to the post. You can see that better illustrated here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-settings/The attachment page shows the image with the title, caption (if there is one), and the blog header.
You should be able to add YouTube videos directly to your visual editor as you create a new post. Can you link me to a post or draft with this isn’t working for you?
