Image Gallery and slideshow gallery invisible for editing in visual mode
-
I have created galleries for a slideshow and two pages of photos but when trying to edit them the galleries are invisible in the editing box in visual mode.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do the edit icons appear in the upper left corner of the Gallery “placeholder” if you hover your cursor over it? If so, click on the camera icon to open the Media Manager and edit the Gallery.
If the icons don’t appear, please post back and tell us what browser and version you are using. http://whatbrowser.org/

I should have indicated that these galleries have been created in existing pages. So I am trying to edit the galleries within the page. I don’t know what the Gallery “placeholder” is but there are only the regular text editing icons visible.
I am using Chrome Version 28.0.1500.71, thanks. -
When you are in the visual editor of any post or page, the Gallery/Slideshow is represented by a blue placeholder in the editing screen. You don’t actually see the images themselves there. You have to click on an icon that appears in the upper left corner after clicking on the blue placeholder. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/#editing-a-gallery-or-slideshow
On occasion in Chrome, that blue placeholder seems to disappear when using the visual editor. If you don’t see that, click someplace else in the editing window and it should reappear.

I still can’t make it work in Chrome but tried Firefox and it works so I’ll use FF.
Thanks, Jennifer -
It’s a solution but not a perfect one. FWIW, I’m using Chrome 28 without a hitch. (knock wood!)
You may want to try some of the troubleshooting tips here to see if that doesn’t solve the problem: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
