Image Gallery changes
-
I’m using the Modularity lite theme and am wanting to tweak a few things for the image gallery.
Is it possible to set the images to center align on the page when they are enlarged?
Is it possible to disable comments & sharing on the page when an image is enlarged? I have it disabled on the gallery page with the image icons.
Is it possible to disable right clicking on this theme?
I’m hoping this is possible without purchasing the CSS to edit.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We don’t have very little control over the appearance of Gallery attachment pages:
1) No, not without the CSS upgrade and a working knowledge of CSS
2) Commenting has to be disabled for the entire blog and then re-enabled for each post/page where you want comments to appear.
3) Right clicking, as in trying to protect an image from being copied? No and It’s ineffective as many browsers simply ignore it. -
“We don’t have very little control…” should be “We have very little control…”
Bedtime methinks.

Thanks for the answers.
I figured I would have to do some CSS editing but was hopefully I could get around it – guess not.
Comments are disabled on the entire blog…again I think this is another CSS edit to further disable it.
I have right click disabled on my main site and it works on all browsers. I know it’s not 100% fool proof as you can just do a screenshot & paste into paint but many people don’t know that or are too lazy to do that so if they can’t right click they don’t bother.
Thanks again. I’ll have to consider doing the CSS.

Relying on right click disabling creates a flase sende of secirity. IMO a far better approach is to watermark your images.

Here, right-click on the image and click on Save Image As or Save Picture As to save it on your computer. DRAT! I forgot to proof read. – sorry.
Relying on right-click disabling creates a false sense of security. -

Thanks for the input.I like the sounds of the second link you posted…I’ll have to look into that.
I don’t like watermarking as it takes away from the photograph so I just rely on my branding at the bottom & I don’t use high enough resolutions to allow printing.

The only downside to the second solution is, again, we can’t edit Gallery Attachment Pages, so you can’t create that overlay on them.
The overlay can be done on images that are inserted normally in a Post or Page, but not by using a Gallery.
