Image Gallery Help – What To Use?
-
Hi everyone,
A little history:
I run a reference website and I needed it upgraded, so under advice I went for a WordPress website. That was and is fine. However, I had to sack the programmer as he wasted my time and did not listen to what I wanted completed. I tend not to name and shame people, but what I can and will say is that I wasted a lot of money.About the website:
The website is completely non-profit; it is a service I offer for free. The website is based primarily on images, and so the biggest and number one requirement is an image gallery that works for me.
Link to my reference website:
My Reference WebsiteHere is an example of another website:
Other Reference WebsiteNow you can see with the second link there are tags that you can click on and when you click on the image it takes you to a separate page that gives further details of that image. This is kinda what I want, but I am open to tweaks here and there, and obviously I don’t want it to be exactly the same.
I have heard the NextGen Image Gallery can work, but I need help choosing the right gallery.
Can someone help me with this?
Thank you,
Adam -
That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM and we are unable to provide support for it here. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page -
Oh, sorry about that.
WordPress is confusing at times. Why the difference by the way?
Thanks for letting me know.
Best,
