Image gallery not working properly

    Hi WordPress team,

    Today while writing my post, Easter Ribeye Roast, the new media organizing system seemed to go haywire in a way it hasn’t before. On the front page of my blog I wanted to feature three images, but when I clicked on the media button and chose the “Uploaded to this post” menu in order to rearrange the photos into the order I wanted them to appear on the front page, it only listed a few photos, two which weren’t even included in the post.

    I then deleted those two, but couldn’t figure out a way to reorder the photos, so I just set a featured image.

    Any idea what went wrong? Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for getting a hold of us! Let me ask you a few questions to get to the bottom of the problem here.

    When you were composing your post, which composer were you using? The original post editor which is available in your Dashboard by logging in to your account and then navigating to posts and then Add New, or the NewDash which you can get to by going to:
    http://wordpress.com/#!/post

    Also, when you say that you wanted to feature three images on the front page of your blog, did you mean as a part of your theme, as a static front page, or did you mean as a part of the post which you were writing?

    Hey thanks for getting back to me! I was using the original post editor available through my Dashboard, and the three featured images were part of my theme, which allows either three small images or one featured image.

    Additionally, I had uploaded a number of images to my media library all at once, but only used a few of those in my post. However the photos available to me in the “Uploaded to this post” menu did not include all the photos I’d uploaded — only four of them, and only two of those I had actually used in the post “Easter Ribeye Roast.”

    Hope that makes sense?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for clarifying for me what you were talking about! It looks like you did everything right, so the triple images should have shown up just fine.

    Premium themes have their own forums where the theme designer answers questions and is able to directly address issues like these. I would recommend checking there and if this hasn’t been asked, posting this question there. The theme author should be able to answer why it didn’t display!
