Image Gallery Settings not showing up completely

  When I want to use an image gallery with the insert media option, I do not have the option of choosing a gallery type in gallery settings like I saw in the wordpress tutorial on the support.
  I have the latest WordPress version installed and all the plugins updates are working fine.
  Please help

  That’s not as free hosted WordPress.com blog that you are referring to. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.org bloggers.
