Image header customization

Hi I just opened a new blog at the Hebrew wordpress.com and everything is fine it’s just that I’m trying to change the image header and I don’t seem to succeed. I’ve tried to upload a large image and cut 200X700 pixels image from it in the website and it said it went on well and now my blog has a new head image but it didn’t.
Then I tried just to cut a 200X700 pixels image myself and upload it and it was the same, it said it’s working but it’s not.
Should I wait for it to get updates or something? What could be wrong?

The cropping tool does NOT work well. Here are the exact sizes for all themes that have custom headers. http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/custom-header-image/ I recommend that you compress, optimize and re-size the image to specific size required prior to uploading it.

Well, that’s exactly what I did, I re-sized it to the specific size it told me [200X700] and tried to upload it several times. It does not work :S
What should I do? -
Perhaps you have a browser issue. Please try these techniques and see what happens http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
Perhaps you are uploading an image with the wrong extension ie. wrong file type

If either those are not the case, then I have run out of ideas and you will have to wait for another volunteer to tackle this problem or contact Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ -

I’m using firefox and I delete my cookies and everything but it didn’t help, I tried to do it through explorer also but it was the some…

You should also see your 200×700 pixel photo in your Media Library if it was uploaded. Can you post the link here so we can see it?

Hi, I actually meant the link to the image ending with .jpg, not the attachment page, which interestingly enough leads to a 404 error. לא מצאתי סיפורים כאלה
Nevertheless, please post back here what the problem was so others can learn from it.

Oddly, it appears to have something to do with the fact that your blog is in Hebrew.
I uploaded the header to my test blog in English and there was no problem. New header was fine. I then reset to the original header, deleted the uploaded file and switched my blog’s language to Hebrew. Then I tried to upload the header again. It seemed to upload, but it did not change the header.
