Image Header doesn’t shrink on mobile phone
-
I have chosen the theme ‘Sela’ and when I view my website on my phone or tablet, the header image does not shrink to fit the screen. I have designed the header myself and it looks great on a computer. How can I fix this? Everything else shrinks to the right size.

Hi there,
If you use a featured image using the suggested dimensions of 1180 × 160 pixels, the theme will centre-crop the image on small screens – on a mobile device the image height remains the same, so the image gets cropped at the sides. The alternative would be for the image to get squashed instead.
To have your image remain full width on small screens, you’ll have to make its height more than 160px – I’m estimating around 800px – with the part you want to always be visible in the centre. What should work is to use an image editing program to convert your image to a .PNG and just add some transparent space at the top and bottom. You might need to experiment a bit to get the exact amount of space to add.
