Image hotlinking – Is there no way to avoid the image being loaded from library?
-
Hi!
I’ve read som previous topics on the subject, such as:
https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/linking-to-an-image-automatically-puts-it-on-my-website/I have the same problem, where I’m trying to display an image from an external url, and it gets transferred to a wp url. The thing is that I am trying to embed a form from a fundraising service, using the WPCode plugin. This form has an automatic control to check that the logo of the service is correctly displayed, for trust and security purposes. When the logo image is *not* loaded from the external url, but instead loaded from the wp library, these checks fail and the form will not display.
So is there any way to override this feature?

Turns out this was an effect of the Jetpack image accelerator, and deactivating it solved the problem.

Hi @jorgenbn, yes Jetpack will usually upload the item to your media library, excepting a few cases.
I’ll share this feedback with the team. Going forward, though, note your plan gives you direct support access. You can reach help a lot faster here:

Can you clarify which fundraiser that is so I have more context for them?
