image html suddenly incomplete

  Yesterday (and for past 3 years) add media from an uploaded image looked like

  Today, only

  <img src=”https://raybrizzipicoftheday3.files.wordpress.com/2015/11/starry-morning-3459.jpg?w=392″ alt=”Starry Morning-3459″ width=”392″ height=”590″ class=”alignnone size-medium wp-image-531″ />

  appeared. The
  and

  are missing. I tried it with several pictures and new posts. I have not made any settings changes, just add a new post every day.

  This keeps readers from clicking on the picture and seeing it full screen which I recommend.

  https://raybrizzipicoftheday.wordpress.com has exhausted the free image storage space. You cannot hotlink to images in any other wordpress.com hosted blogs any more.

  great… the code got removed. It has always looked like

  I can click the image in it and see the full size image here https://raybrizzipicoftheday3.files.wordpress.com/2015/11/starry-morning-3459.jpg

  I am not clear on what you are reporting that you say is missing. Please post again with more details.

  no, the blog I am having trouble with is http://raybrizzipicoftheday3.wordpress.com I didn’t notice that it had the old one.

  That is the current one and I have 2GB free. Anyway it IS loading the images. It’s the html code from ADD MEDIA that is different as of today.

  Yes, you can see it because I edited it to be like the day before since it was already published. I tried a new post with another image and it did the same thing.

  The problem is what happened to the <a href.....> and </a> ?

  @raybrizzi:

  After you add the image, please click on it and then click the “link” button in the toolbar. It’ll be automatically populated with the URL to the full size image. Hit OK, and the image will be linked as you expect.
