when i insert an image on this site i can see the image on the edit box but my wife only get the code and can only see the image in preview this is difficult for her and i have not been able to find the problem

You’ll only see the images in posts, not in static pages I think, there you’ll see the code if you are trying to edit it. At least that’s what it does for me.

@lorawow: No, posts and pages are absolutely identical as far as the editor is concerned. You see the image in the visual editor, the code for it in the html editor, the result in the published post or page.
