Are you using a Safari browser? http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/20/im-using-safari-and-i-have-problems/
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=16218At this juncture, I would like to suggest that you go here -> Manage -> Uploads
locate the image and delete it – if there are multiples of the same image then delete them all and begin at the beginning again using another browser http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/16/how-do-i-upload-pictures/ -
What I failed to mention immediately above is that it’s recommended that you pre-size images prior to uploading them.

Sorry – I can’t answer that. I do know that wordpress.com and firefox or IE7 get along well.
-
Opera in my experience has some problems with wordpress. Your best bet at this time is Firefox on Mac or Windows.
-
In case this problem you are having is a browser issue, and I don’t that it is here’s what the forum search box produced https://en.forums.wordpress.com/search.php?q=Opera

Hmmm. I think there’s problem with my free hosting. I try to add more bigger images and they are uploaded well (images were located on my paid hosting).
Big thanks to all. I try to find another Hosting

isadora,
oh! so css works to this extent on free wp.com blogs? gosh, i didn’t know!procreation,
the reason why tsp says wp.com can be used to host your images temporarily is because image files are big and you will use up the fre space of your free blog in no time at all!
I think there's problem with my free hosting.
if it’s no big deal, may i please know the name of the free hosting? i want to be aware of problems of different image hosting services.if you are looking for a good image hosting service, try http://photobucket.com
or http://www.flickr.com. in a free account you can upload 200 images.
http://riya.com is something i am hopeful about too.
do tell us if your problem is solved! :D

One thing to keep in mind is that even today a large portion of internet users are on dial up and as such, it is a good idea to keep images smaller so that they load faster for those without high speed connections. On a computer monitor, unless you have the two images side-by-side, it is quite difficult to tell the difference between a 72k image and and 235k image: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/08/optimise-your-images/
As a general rule, I always try and keep my images under 100k and put them in my posts as thumbnails. If the people want to view the larger image, then then can click on it and it will open in a new window.

yes smaller images is uploading, but i can't to resize image.
if you can’t afford to have a smaller version of that image for a particular reason, then you have to use a theme that allows 640 pixel wide images. or you have to host it elsewhere and link to it from your blog.and if you want to figure out how to resize image before uploading, then here is a list of online and offline services that help you get the job done. :D
-
Here you can find a list of free image editors which allow you to resize easily: http://wpbloggingtips.wordpress.com/2007/09/28/images-optimizing-pre-sizing-and-resizing/

@procreation
You’re very welcome. I assume then that the images are now loading as they should for you. If not, post back here and we will see what we can do. -
