Image Insertation

  Hi, So I just started using wordpress today and I am wondering how to get an image to be big in the post. So far images uploaded have only showed up small in a photo gallery at the bottom of the post and id like them to be larger in the middle of the page or at the top, or wherever, just inserted into the post and not in a photo gallery at the bottom. Tips? Thanks
