image issue

    Hi, I cannot either link to my image, nor can I upload it. It’s a .pdf format that I have linked to no problems before. When I try to add the URL for it in my image widget, wordpress disappears the URL when it attempts to save my widget changes.

    As a second option I tried to upload the image to media and hopefully use that URL instead however, after it uploads there is no image there.

    The link was there this morning, however when I was trying to add another image widget, the URL just disappeared from my existing image widget.

    I have logged out of wordpress, and also restarted Safari to no avail.

    Hi there,

    The Image Widget can only use image file formats, like .jpg, .gif, and .png. The .pdf format isn’t an image-specific format — it’s actually a document format. (PDF stands for “Portable Document Format.”)

    Do you have that same logo saved in another format, such as .jpg, .gif, or .png? If so, you can upload that version and use it on your site. Otherwise, you may also be able to export the .pdf file in one of those formats so you can upload it that way.
