When i upload a picture, a dark block appeared underneath the picture. How can i fix this?

Hi there,
Are by any chance using Safari, and if so, can you please give me the version number of Safari you have installed?
If you’re using Safari, this is a known issue, and our developers are investigating the cause. It won’t affect the content published on your site, though, so if the content under that block is still visible for you, you can continue working on your post and publish it. Otherwise, you might need to use a different browser like Firefox or Chrome in the meantime.

Hi, Yes im using Safari.
Version 14.0.1I might have clicked something with my settings which im not sure how to undo right now. Previously it was OK.

@evzn I don’t think it’s your fault — just a strange interaction between the code and your browser. They’re working on a solution though.
The block won’t appear on your site, so if you’re able to see the content below that you can just ignore the dark block and keep working on the page or post. If you can’t see your content under it, we recommend switching browsers temporarily until this issue is resolved.

Thank you… Im still waiting for them to fix it!
I can see the content im working on under the dark block, but it is super annoying!!!
I hope it gets fixed soon!!!

Understood. If you’d like to follow along with how they’re working on it, you can do that here:
https://github.com/Automattic/wp-calypso/issues/53401I’d imagine once it’s resolved, it’ll just start working, but we can update you here in case you need to clear your browser cache.

My mistake! The fix is ready but not implemented just yet. It will be coming out soon, though.
