Image issues
-
I am trying to insert photos within a WordPress blog post. After the third image, the rest of them become distorted. How can I fix this? I have used the chatbot and unfortunately none of the suggestions have worked – the images are zoomed in and cropped abnormally.

Hi @impossiblycrafty74747912fc,
I’m a community volunteer (not WordPress.com staff), but here are some things you can try:
- Check the block type: Make sure you’re inserting each picture with the Image block (not Gallery or Cover). The Cover block in particular will zoom/crop images to fill the space.
- Adjust image settings: After selecting the image block, look in the right-hand sidebar → under Settings, check the “Crop” or “Resize” options. You can also set the image to display at its original size instead of “Fill” or “Cover.”
- Theme/layout effect: Some themes apply styling that crops or zooms images after a certain number in a row. Try adding each image on its own line (one per block) instead of side-by-side.
- Test with another theme or preview: If the distortion disappears, it’s theme-specific, and you may need to adjust block alignment or use a different block pattern.

If none of these work, can you share which theme you’re using? That will help narrow down whether it’s a theme layout issue.
