Image Layout
-
As you’ll see when you scroll down this link, the images begin to arrange themselves in quite random ways. I’ve tried everything I can think of but I can’t stop them or control where they are going, despite adding them in order exactly like I added the first 5 rows which arranged perfectly. Anyone know what to do?

Hi, while editing the homepage I just click the black + at the bottom of the page, then “Image” from the popup menu, and upload the image. I then resize it and click “Align left”, which lines it up with the previous one.

Hello again, So each of those images are separate image blocks with the first one in each row aligned left? The only difficulty with that is that the width of the images vary between 213 and 218 pixels and that might be just enough to throw the alignment off given the width of the Mayland content area.
Have you tried displaying those images with the Gallery Block? https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/gallery-block/

Yep that’s right.
I tried the gallery block, but the problem was that I cannot add the label under each photo or the link in the photo to click on.
However I just changed all the image dimensions to be exactly the same and that fixed my problem!
Thanks so much Jennifer :)

Glad to help. :)
AFAIK you should be able to add a caption by clicking on the lower part of a Gallery image and it will show for only that Gallery or by editing the image in the Media Library to add a caption that will appear everywhere. Give it a try next time.
