Image linking

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I would like to remove the automatic linking from pictures posted on our blog. (when you click on a picture it opens up full size)

There appears to be no way to do this…

I found instructions to insert some of my own code in functions.php which should do the trick, but it seems i don’t have access to this file? apparently it can be found:
    Appearance > Editor > Theme Functions – functions.php

Please let me know if you can help!

    Regards

    Josh

    Hi Josh,
I don’t see a way to set the default image link to none on WordPress.com. You have to manually remove the link for each image. I see the image in your most recent post does not link so you may have sorted this out already. If not, when you insert an image using the Add Media button, select “None” for the link in the Attachment Display Settings section.

Modifying the functions.php file is not possible on a WordPress.com hosted site. The instructions you mentioned would apply to a self-hosted version of WordPress.
