image links

  Hi there, I am running the new wordpress version and its great. at the moment when I upload an image if I click on it, it opens the image in a new page because its linked.

  My question is, is it ok to remove this link ? will it effect my site being searchable by search engines ?

  you can remove the link, but make sure you got the image’s correct url, otherwise it wont appear in your post. go to the image’s permalink (via media gallery) which will open into a new page, then click on the picture and the image’s url will come up. use that to link in your post using the < img > button in editor.
