Image Links Not Staying

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi there,

    I am trying to create a page that has pictures which link to categories on my blog. I have made a table, inserted the pictures and attempted to change the links. I have tried both editing the link while in the Visual menu, or changing it in the Html menu. Both times, I type in the category url, but when I click Save Draft, the links convert back to the attachment id. Just wondering if there’s a feature I need to turn on/off? I’ve never had trouble linking an image before, but this time it just doesn’t seem to want to work. Any feedback?

    Much appreciated

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    We can’t help at all without specifics, starting with a link to your blog, starting with http.

    I thought I made it fairly clear, but I guess not. I was just wondering if I was succumbing to a classic error when making image links, but I figured it out myself. It turns out that I simply had to delete all the images and re-insert them with the url I wanted; seems like there was a kind of a bug in the page I was working on or something, since it wouldn’t save the new urls that I added to the html code. Everything is working fine now!

    Thanks anyways.

    Oh and sorry about not adding my blog’s url, although I doubt it would have helped because I hadn’t even published the page yet! Haha, I’ll remember to add it to the thread next time.

    @effieboo
    If you prefer you can link your wordpress.com blog to your username. Then when you post here or leave a comment anywhere we can click your username and locate the blog. It’s easy to do this.

    Dashboard > Users > Personal Settings-> scroll down to ‘Account Details’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the complete URL for your blog starting with http:// and click “Save Changes”.

    Thanks! I’ll do that.
