Image looks different on web, tablet and mobile

    Hello there,
My issue is that the image stretches badly for the pc/laptop version – then it looks ok for the mobile and tablet.

Sometimes for the pc – the pictures of people have their heads cut off when you open the post.

It looks pretty, all on ‘Cubic’ homepage.

Can anyone tell me how I can make the header image of each post a little better?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, I’m not sure I’m seeing what you describe. Are you talking about the image at the very top of the cityscape, or the featured image for single posts, or the featured image of the woman behind the Animal Magnetism posting?

O thankyou for get back – yes well I started experimenting with a tone of themes and ended up giving up a little – basically it has to partly with the size of the photograph. So you sort of have to play around really. And the dashboard icon is now right at the bottom of the page. Ultimately I might have to pay up for the Tortuga pirate theme, as the demo worked well across all apps. I don’t seem to remember images being such an issue when I had my first word press blog. My message here was based on Cubic theme … and obviously was trying others to rectify the situation. Anyway thanks for getting back to me!

Images behave differently on different themes. Some will actually crop the images to fit the size the theme needs for a particular place. If an image has to go full width of the window/screen, there will typically also be some cropping of the image so that the entire space reserved for the image will be covered. The cropping the theme’s do is done from the center of the image, so on image it is best to keep the important part of the images centered. Photographic images work best due to the cropping. Images with text or graphics in them can be problematic.
