Image Map Not Working – WordPress Deletes Code

    Hi, I’m trying to post an imagemap on to a blog. I got the HTML code through GIMP, which appears to be working, however whenever I post the code in wordpress and hit save it automatically deletes the HTML for the map (and just posts the standard image without any links).

    I’ve tried publishing it without “updating” first and I’ve tried disabling the visual editor in my profile, but still every time it deletes the HTML. I’ve even taken the exact code from a working imagemap on a previous blogpost on my blog that someone else added (it’s a large multi-author blog) and it still didn’t work as wordpress simply deleted the code when I hit save or publish. Is there anything I’m missing?
