Image margin has extra space below caption
-
Hi,
I’m using the Twenty Theme on WordPress.com (not WordPress.org) and have not enabled custom design features (CSS). When I add captions to my images a gray box appears around the image, which is fine, except this is extra space below the caption. Here is an example: http://northwesturbanist.wordpress.com/2014/07/05/lets-bury-i-5-redux/
I’d like to remove that extra space but can’t find how. This wasn’t a problem with the last theme I was using, Coraline. I switched to Twenty Ten because it’s much wider and shows images better. I appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Hi Scott, the space below the caption in Twenty Ten is part of the theme’s design and the only way to change it would be through some Custom CSS.
One thing you might want to consider is that while Twenty Ten is a classic theme, it’s not responsive, meaning that it doesn’t automatically adjust to fit mobile devices, on which more and more people are reading blogs these days.
You might like to consider a newer responsive theme, like Twenty Eleven, which is similar to Twenty Ten but is responsive. Have a look at the demo here: http://twentyelevendemo.wordpress.com/
Here’s what a captioned image looks like:
