Image metadata in Sketch theme
-
I am using the Sketch theme predominately for images. I have a page with images when you click an image in full-page on that image in a gallery mode, which is great. However, it display the images metadata in a comment box i.e. camera type, shutter speed, f-stop, etc. I want to remove this -how?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If you are talking about the tags displayed in the bottom of an enlarged image, then that’s how the Sketch theme is designed.
It can be removed via Custom CSS if you are in WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business plans
Since you have marked your site as private I am tagging this question with the modlook tag on the Tags section of the sidebar for staff to confirm on the same.
Read about the modlook tag here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question
You can also subscribe to this topic by clicking on the “Subscribe to Topic” link on the sidebar to get email notifications whenever someone posts an answer to this thread.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.

Hi there,
You can disable meta-data from displaying in image galleries from your site’s media settings, here:
https://geoffbeveridge.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-media.php
Though if you’re optimising your images for the web before uploading (which you should), you can also remove the meta data from there. By optimising the image I mean resizing it to the size it will actually show on your site, and compressing the file size to make it as small as possible. Most photo processing software will also allow you to remove meta-data from the image when exporting it.
